Healthy version of a classic the crowd will love!
Do you love pizza but avoid eating it because you're afraid of how unhealthy it might be for you? Well, I have the solution for that! And for you meat lovers out there, just change the toppings to your preference.
Easy Veggie Pizza with a Whole Wheat Crust
1 medium red bell (capsicum) peppers, chopped
1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1 medium tomato , seeded and thinly sliced
2 cups baby spinach
2 cup mushroom , sliced
1 cup basil
4 cups light mozzarella cheese, shredded
2 cups pizza sauce
1 cups water
2 tablespoons olive oil
¾ tsp salt
2 cups flour
2 cups whole wheat flour
Make pizza dough per directions for your bread machine.
Preheat oven to 450.
Roll dough out into 2 round circles.
Top dough with pizza sauce, 1 cup cheese, layer vegetables and basil, then top with another cup cheese.
Bake on pizza stone for 12 to 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and melted and dough is cooked through.
